Since I have to work a midnight shift tonight, I was blessed with perfect weather today that allowed me to stay out of the house and enjoy the area. After a small hike around my neighborhood here on the former Ford Ord, I went out to the new Dunes State Park. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for better conditions. It was right around 20C and the wind was relatively light.

I was elated to find that I had the entire beach to myself! What a great way to relax and let time slowly slip away.


 

On my recent journey through Marin, Napa, and Sonoma Counties, I stopped off at Miwok Beach which is along the coast of Sonoma County. The beach, which is along Highway 1, has breathtaking views and some fantastic vantage points where large waves crash against rocks that rise well out of the water. The windy weather added to the fun and made holding the camera difficult at times.

 

Here is a video of a walk that I took down to a beach today. By the way, this is about a five minute drive from our apartment and a mile from the parking spot. It is my new favorite area here.
